MOXIFLOXACIN OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION IP 0.5% EYE DROPS

The MOXIVAZ Eye Drop is a medication containing Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It’s used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other bacterial infections of the eye.  Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This action kills the bacteria causing the infection.

MOXIVAZ eye drops are used to treat bacterial eye infections. It’s commonly prescribed as a bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) treatment. Other uses include treatment for bacterial keratitis and preventing eye infections from cataract surgery and refractive eye surgery.

🧴 Directions for Use

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after applying.
  • Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s).
  • Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface or your eye to avoid contamination.
  • Close your eye gently and avoid blinking rapidly.
  • Wait 5–10 minutes if using other eye drops.

  • Store at room temperature (15–25°C).
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed after use.
  • Protect from light and moisture.
  • Do not freeze.
